QUIQQER 1.1 Almighty Appaloosa is even more flexible, easier and more efficient

We have worked through more than 700 points, more than 30 new modules can be found in the store.

In the new version you will find the integrated QUIQQER-Store. With it you can create your website even easier than before with many free modules. Also the media area has been updated extensively. For server admins, working in the console is now even easier and clearer than before. Editors will find lots of new controls at QUIQQER 1.1. In terms of security, we have updated our encryption algorithms. In the WYSIWYG editor you will find four new standard toolbars, with different functionality.

We are also currently working on the completion of the first QUIQQER e-commerce system. You will already find some modules for this.

With the QUIQQER Store to the new project in a snap

One of the core features of the release is the integrated QUIQQER store. We put an end to the time-consuming process of updating and installing modules. From now on you can install or update extensions simply by clicking directly in the backend. From now on you will find modules, templates and plugins which you can extend QUIQQER individually. These include, for example, team lists, a calendar, a tool for creating forms, a captcha plugin and much more. Bit by bit we publish further modules. In addition the upload of foreign modules into the store is planned. Just have a look at the Roadmap.

Customize QUIQQER to your needs with new modules

With the brick module you can create modules that fit your needs exactly. Without developer knowledge you can extend your project as you need it. Place content, banners, news or blog posts, pictures, sliders and more in a few easy steps.

The cache module stores and optimizes files of your website in different caches. Thus your side becomes faster - important for the search machine ranking. Last but not least, your visitors will be happy about your website.

If you want to present many photos, products and pictures on your site, the gallery module is the right thing for you. It provides elaborate and representative galleries for your project. Choose from different types the one that fits your project. Developers will find PHP and JacaScript controls here.

With the Contact and Formbuilder modules, the time-consuming development of contact, offer or registration forms is a thing of the past. You create forms and contact fields in the twinkling of an eye exactly to the extent you need them.

All modules you download from the QUIQQER Store can now be installed directly. Until now, this only worked via the update server. Now it's even easier and faster to create your website individually according to your wishes.

There's an extensive update in the media section

The entire media area is now easier to use. You can select and process files multiple times or filter it. You don't have to download file by file anymore. From now on it works with whole ZIP-folders. For your uploads there are extensive adjustments in comfort and functionality. You can integrate the file management of the Folder Viewer everywhere.

Developers will find a significantly expanded Media API with extensive controls for managing and uploading files.

All in all, the QUIQQER media area is now even more convenient and clearly arranged.

Four New Toolbars for the WYSIWYG Editor

We have completely reworked the editor interface and the CK-editor module. Now you can upload and manage your own CK-editor plugins via the QUIQQER backend. Choose yourself which editor functions you want to use. In the standard installation we have already put together an extensive plugin package and tested it for compatibility. All modules are divided into four toolbars, which are aimed at different user groups such as admins or editors.

CLI Tool Update Makes Admin Life Easier

For administrators, QUIQQER 1.1 comes with an extensive update of the CLI tools. There are quick tools that work without login. Here you can now call all important admin tools faster and also in case of system errors: Clear cache and sessions, run crons, setup and update, create htaccess-/nginx settings, reset password and more.

QUIQQER now provides a fully generated configuration for nginx servers in a Debian / Ubuntu environment. This facilitates the configuration of new systems and automates updates to rewrite rules and other server configurations. A comprehensive tutorial is available in the Wiki.

We have also updated the directory structure and adapted it to the Composer packages. The whole menu structure is reconsidered, newly sorted and easier to reach.

The search function in the backend has been completely redesigned. You can now use the quick search function to search for all elements that occur in the backend - whether menu / navigation entries, pages, media area, users or groups. The backend search comes with an extensive API. So apps, modules or plugins can be added and search results can be delivered directly to the admin area. So you can search QUIQQER completely and then jump to the corresponding element.

QUIQQER is now even faster and easier to use for admins.

Future Outlook - QUIQQER e-commerce system is coming

We are currently working on the first version of the QUIQQER e-commerce system. A payment interface and corresponding modules like Amazon, Paypal and Paymill, an order system, an invoice management, an extensive product management with freely configurable product fields, a discount system and many other small ERP modules are already ready.
