Release: QUIQQER 2

We are delighted to finally officially introduce QUIQQER 2.0! With this new version, we are laying the foundations for a stable and future-proof platform. Numerous software solutions are based on it, including our e-commerce system ecoyn and our ERP solution. Many SaaS solutions already rely on QUIQQER. With QUIQQER 2.0, we are ensuring even greater stability, performance and maintainability.

PHP 8, PHP 9 & code quality

All important QUIQQER modules (over 200) have been migrated to PHP 8 and are already prepared for PHP 9.

With PHP 8, we have further improved the typing in QUIQQER 2.0. Thanks to the support for union types and other new features, we were able to further increase code quality. In addition, our PHPStan check ensures that errors caused by missing or incorrect typing are detected at an early stage. All modules fulfill at least PHPStan Level 5, which leads to a significantly more stable code base.

Automated CI/CD pipelines & tests

Over the past year, we have worked continuously on quality assurance. This now includes:

✅ Automated CI pipelines that perform tests and code analyses every time a change is made.
✅ PHPUnit tests to gradually make the code even more robust.
✅ Automatic versioning according to SemVer.

These improvements mean that release management is now fully automated. All changes go through code tests, static analyses and are automatically published as a release.

One year of stabilization

The extensive changes in QUIQQER 2.0 required a long test phase. To ensure maximum stability, the platform was tested and continuously improved over the course of a year. During this time, we released 69 fix releases to optimize the system.

Now is the perfect time to upgrade to QUIQQER 2.0 and benefit from the latest improvements! 🚀

In the previous blog post we could proudly announce: Our e-commerce system ecoyn is here! The first online stores are up and running. The invoice and order system proves itself. Running!

Next up is an installation wizard for ecoyn as well. The wizard is designed to prepare the setup with you step by step.

Enter your company data, select modules or decide which payment methods you want to offer your customers. Which sales method do you use? Do you want to download demo data to try ecoyn and simplify the setup of your store?

Our installation wizard will go through these and other points with you - so that the system fits your offer best from the beginning. It will be great. That's a promise!
